Chinas four major categories of textile exports to ASEAN all-round growth

From January to November 2012, China's textile raw materials and products exported 224.87 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.5% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped 20.4 percentage points year on year. However, it is worth mentioning that under the trend of declining demand in traditional markets such as Europe and the United States, China's four major categories of textile products have achieved an overall growth in exports to ASEAN.


In the same period, China's total exports of natural fiber products totaled US$18.26 billion, down 6.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 27.9 percentage points year-on-year. In the top four markets for export, ASEAN, Hong Kong SAR, Bangladesh and the EU exported a total of 10.09 billion US dollars, accounting for 55.3% of the total exports of natural fiber products. Among them, exports to ASEAN were US$3.79 billion, up 6% year-on-year; exports to Bangladesh were US$1.79 billion, up 17.9% year-on-year; exports to Hong Kong SAR were US$2.88 billion, down 4.2% year-on-year; exports to the EU were US$1.63 billion, down 24.5% year-on-year .


The export of chemical fiber and industrial textiles was US$34.47 billion, down 0.9% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped by 37.3 percentage points year-on-year. Among the major export markets, exports to ASEAN were US$6.45 billion, up 11.7% year-on-year; US exports were US$2.17 billion, up 3.7% year-on-year; exports to the EU, Hong Kong and India were US$3.56 billion, US$1.68 billion, US$1.33 billion, respectively. , decreased by 2.8%, 12.4%, and 24.2%, respectively. The main chemical fiber export products are polyester products.


The export of clothing and accessories products was US$17.11 billion, up 3% year-on-year, and the growth rate dropped 16.1% year-on-year. Among them, exports to the EU were 35.85 billion US dollars, down 13.5% year-on-year; US exports were US$30.59 billion, up 2.9% year-on-year; exports to Japan were US$22.45 billion, up 0.8% year-on-year; exports to ASEAN were US$13.34 billion, up year-on-year. 58.3%; export products are mainly cotton-based clothing.


In addition, the export of textile machinery was US$2.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%, and the growth rate dropped by 26.6 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, India and the EU exported 370 million US dollars and 160 million US dollars respectively, down 18.9% and 6.6% respectively; exports to ASEAN and Bangladesh 420 million US dollars and 160 million US dollars, up 28.6% and 16.2% respectively.
